Alan and I returned home a week ago. The past week was hectic. The first two days I was home, we rehung the Gallery at 206 E Alder Street after it had been painted and freshened up. It looks terrific for the summer season. Then I spent two days taking a painting workshop sponsored by the Western Maryland Watercolor Society. David Daniels was the instructor, and despite the fact I had taken 3 workshops from Dave in the past, he had a lot of new information and suggestions. It was great fun to be with him again.
While we were in Italy and Holland I didn't do any painting but drew a lot.
The day we saw Michelangelo's David was particularily moving and inspiring. I couldn't resist hauling out my pencil and giving it a try.
I am not thrilled with the piece I did in Dave Daniel's workshop. I post just to prove I am still painting. This piece is, as they say, "is a work in progress". I love the colors. And that is Dave's strong suit. . .color.
